1% for the Great Lakes
Non-profit support to protect Great Lakes wilderness.
1% for the Great Lakes is our way of giving back to the region that has given us so much. It's closely tied to our mission to keep the Great Lakes wild.
We're grateful to be based in a region with so many public natural areas, and it's something that has shaped our identity as a brand from the beginning. We're committed to both protecting these areas from urban development, and to providing the opportunity for residents and visitors to access and enjoy the natural beauty of the Great Lakes.
Here's how 1% for the Great Lakes works. We've established relationships with key non-profits that represent our core values and correspond to different key areas around the region. Each month, we donate 1% of our profits to the following organizations:
January and February: Alliance for the Great Lakes
March: Sugarloaf: The North Shore Stewardship Association
April: Noquemanon Trail Network
May and June: Upper Peninsula Land Conservancy
July: Keweenaw Land Trust
August: Copper Harbor Trails Club
September: Leelanau Conservancy
October: Door County Land Trust
November and December: Guest Non-Profit
We're thrilled to have two months open for a guest non-profit, which we will rotate annually to feature areas of the Great Lakes that may not usually see as much exposure. Each of these organizations has a track record in conservation and stewardship, and in promoting the enjoyment of the outdoors in the region.
Together, we can work together to protect wilderness areas around the Great Lakes for future generations to enjoy.
