Born in the Upper Peninsula, raised in lower Michigan, and living in Wisconsin, Neil has always embraced the outdoors. He enjoys riding gravel and mountain bikes, skiing, paddling, and camping.

Neil founded Great Lakes Coastal to share his passion for the Great Lakes, and to help shape the robust and growing outdoor adventure community centered here. He is a graduate of Michigan Tech, where he fell in love with exploring the backcountry, paddling on Superior and inland lakes, and connecting with locals and visitors alike.
